Training Services for Babcock

Benchmark Training Ltd has been selected by Babcock Skills and Learning to provide a broad range of UK-wide training and services to organisations and clients under a new contract. This includes leadership, management, personal development and other behaviour-based training. The contract was awarded on 1 November 2015 and runs until 31 October 2018; providing Babcock Skills and Learning, and its clients, with a quality assured service to compliment existing delivery capability.

Additionally, the contract provides significant scope for Benchmark to work with Babcock and its clients to design, develop, deliver and evaluate new courses, material and programmes that are not on the course list above, but which are required to meet both new and emerging needs. All the information underpinning this capability is contained within the framework agreement and provides details of key matters including rates, payment, booking forms and cancellation terms. Contract Benefits

The centrally negotiated contract with Benchmark provides Babcock, and its clients, with a capability that:

  • Supports business growth opportunities with Babcock Skills and Learning’s existing and new potential clients.
  • Mitigates service delivery risk by aligning and implementing robust supplier management engagement and management processes.
  • Reduces training delivery costs through the central agreement of competitive commercials.
  • Helps keep Babcock abreast of innovations and developments in the L&D area, and supports their subsequent implementation.

Accessing the Service and Points of Contacts

Benchmark Training Ltd has contractually agreed, with Babcock Skills and Learning, an initial schedule of courses and also an advisory, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE) capability. Competitive course and day rates have been agreed as an integral part of the contract. The service can be accessed by staff across the Babcock Skills and Learning Division. Benchmark is also able to provide details of the framework agreement, course lists and the wider ADDIE-based services, and is able to advise on the correct and best way to access the service. Benchmark is able to meet with prospective users of the service in order to brief them on the provisions of the contract and work collaboratively with them to ensure it is accessed correctly, efficiently and effectively.
