Benchmark Training Ltd delivers supervisor-level leadership training to Babcock Rail

Thursday, December 16th, 2010

Babcock International Group plc is the UK’s leading engineering support services organisation, with revenue of circa £3bn in 2010 and over 27,000 skilled staff.  Babcock’s Rail Division is a leading player in the UK’s rail infrastructure market. Babcock Rail have built a reputation for delivering quality engineering projects by championing innovation and introducing new technologies into the rail industry, underpinned by the highest standards of safety.  Benchmark Training Ltd has this week delivered the inaugural Rail Supervisors’ Leadership Course to employees of Babcock Rail at our 500 acre training facility at Moreton-in-Marsh.  The training will lead to improved leadership performance and to more efficient and safer renewals operations. This will lead in turn to a change in attitude and, more importantly, in on-site leadership behaviour and culture. Delegates on the course enjoy a variety of training media and methods, and an emphasis on experiential learning through leadership development scenarios set up across our operational training site. Students are also encouraged to learn from each other through facilitated learning sessions.  Ultimately the training will lead to an even greater emphasis on performance and safety for the delegates within a company which is rightly proud of its safety record and initiatives.
